We present the best free kick takers in FIFA 17. Those who can decide games from a set piece.
The free kick ability is an isolated ability, with little influence on the game, but let’s not underestimate it. It is rare the game in which there are not a couple or more chances from set pieces in the vicinity of the rival area. Turning those chances into goals will depend on our skill at taking free kicks, but much more on whether there is a player on our team with good free kick ratings. We will need many hours rehearsing, since it is not easy to achieve a good percentage of successes. And in each version of the game the technique changes a bit, but it will be hours well spent, since free kicks decide many games.
The ideal free kick taker in FIFA 17 is the one who can contribute during the game, and when the moment of truth comes, when his free kick comes, he is able to convert it a good percentage of the time. It doesn’t matter if they are defenders, midfielders or forwards, the point is that they perform well in their position, or at least they don’t clash in the match and when they have their fault they are a clear scoring option.

Conclusions on the best FIFA 17 free kick takers
The first place of the best FIFA 17 free kick takers goes to Pirlo. The Italian is an unattractive player in general, but being the best passer in the game and the best free-kick taker, it’s something to think about. It won’t give us much in various facets, but when I caught a ball the strikers wouldn’t have a better ally. And as it is planted with a foul in the front, the opposing goal will not have a greater threat.
Obviously the ideal is to be able to count on a Messi. If we have the second best player in the game who also throws free kicks wonderfully, there is little to add. In this sense, players like Payet or Pjanic could also be included. Footballers who would be starters, yes or yes, and who also have a telescopic sight for set pieces. Although he is not on the list, Marco Reus is very close. The German from Borussia Dortmund would also be part of this group of four footballers who are worth having in the team.
As for the rest, they are mostly great unknowns, and it is not very clear if they really take free kicks well or if the level of their leagues and teams is much lower. Calhanoglu and Depay are obviously more than proven as snipers, but their ratings in the rest of their attributes and skills are a little low if we want to put together a high-level team.
