Each one is a unique world. Some offer new game modes, others are set in a specific biome or even recreate real parts of Earth.

Once you have chosen the PC that will host the server, follow these steps:

  • After entering the game world, press ESC and select the option to open the game for LAN.
  • After selecting the game options, start LAN world.

The steps to follow are:

  • Download Hamachi. To do that, click the green Download now button.

  • Install Hamachi and make a new account.
  • Create a new virtual network and note your IPv4 address. It can be something like 12.54.993.01.
  • Then share the new network credentials for your friends to join Hamachi’s virtual network (they also need the program).
  • Follow the steps in the method “4. Create or join a LAN game”.
  • When you’re in the world, you should see a five-digit number in the bottom left (like 47693). This number is the port generated for the match.
  • Share with your friends the IPv4 and the port.
  • In order for others to join your game, they will have to enter Minecraft and enter the IP and port in this format: 12.54.993.01:47693.

With these steps, you will play with your friends on a private and secure server.

6. Play split screen

For everyone who plays Minecraft on a console, namely Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, there is one last option. We are talking about split screen, an easy way to play with your friends. All you need to do is start a game, connect up to four controllers, and you’re all set!
